    Where can i download SSH secure shell client for free?

    Hi, does anyone know where i can download SSH secure shell client for free.

    It looks like this

    not putty.

    to access university work

    whats wrong with putty, I use that & putty session manager to do grouping ect as we have around 300 devices to manage.

    Have you tried Zoc I think thats got a free version.

    Looking through the instructions posted I'm guessing that they want a different client to Putty for easier file transfer rather than a pure command line client as I completely agree with you about putty, it's all I use for ssh/telnet etc.

    exactly so, I did d/l putty and didnt really have a clue as to what to do.

    Whereas I had ssh before until my laptop died on me, and cant find where to d/l it again like I once did before a while ago

    just install a linux console on a virtual pc
    and use true ssh

    Putty is the right tool for the job if you want SSH access.

    If you just want to transfer files, you might be better off with WinSCP.

    Why not use the one you linked to (It downloads fine - haven't installed it though).
    Check if your university already offers this program as a lot do for free.
