Where’s a good place to advertise cars for sale?

I’m selling a £6,000 VW Polo and wondering where is the best place to advertise it?
I have it on Adtrader (Free) and eBay as a Classified Ad (£15 and no fees) but wondering where else to put it. I’m thinking Autotrader may be a good idea; any ideas?

put for sale in the back window or supermarket / local shops

Autotrader / eBay will get you the most exposure, local paper might get some interest but i would try the other 2 for a few weeks first.

Where are you from?

Local paper?
Local newsagent's door? Mine charges 20p/week for postcard sized ads.

I'd also try Pistonheads and Gumtree both of which are free.

Thanks for all the replies.

I used to use it a lot back in the day. I just had a quick look and they have so few cars compared to the other sites that it’s not worth registering.

They have a lot of ads so worth signing up. Cheers.
