Litchlake is really well known through the F1 circuit and only a 5 minute walk away so handy if you're bringing the children.

Litchlake Farm is the largest campsite in the Silverstone area during the British Grand Prix: The total site covers around 50 acres of beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. Thousands of motor sport fans return year after year to take advantage of the site’s splendid facilities. For the British Grand Prix, there will be piped water, flush toilets, showers and waste disposal on site for the use of campers and traders alike, as well as mains electricity.

i stayed in a campsite near silverstone recently, seemed far away when i drove there but the back of the site has a small cut though to the entrance of the circuit. so we turned out to be on its doorstep! They also got a band in and there was a good party/family atmosphere.

did see that one too mate
i did like the sound of it although you cannot book in advance its 1st come 1st served according to the web site and there is no electric hook up but pricewise seems great £20 per person per night and under 14's go free seems favorite up to now
as parking at silverstone is £35 for the 3 days and travelling to and fro would be about £45 to £50 diesel to and fro leicester not to mention the traffic on sunday (nightmare)
cheers mate

any links mate just googled it and nothing came up

do you mean for the F1? I understood it was to be held at Donnington in 2009? When did it swap back to Silverstone?

*edit... Just checked - looks like I was mistaken, GP at Silverstone til 2009 at least..

We stayed at one last year
Silverstone Recreational Association Campsite
15mins walk from circuit
It cost £80.00 from friday till Monday, this if for a caravan or tent up to 4 people with one vehicle
BBQ breakfast, Club house, Toilets, Showers (always long queues for men!!)
Local shop 2mins
Don't think they had electric hook-ups
It was very lively!!
Hope this helps
