Forget about supplements Andy.

You just need to eat more, eat more eat more and when you've done that eat some more

Get your macros right, work out 2-3 times a week, get plenty plenty rest

Give it 12 months and you'll be getting called Arnold

What's the answer for someone with an over active thyroid?

In most cases, just a tablet a day to balance it...

This is a bit extreme - it probably is just the case of having to eat more tbh.
But be smart with your food choices, get caloric dense foods in as opposed to food that is large in volume.
If you REALLY want to get supplements then what you're looking for is a 'mass-gainer' - essentially a scoop has around 1000+ kcals in

Not really extreme. It happens with people who can't put on weight.
It can also do the opposite (under-active) and people find it hard to lose weight.

How is that possible?

If you eat more calories than you burn then you will put on weight. What is your BMR?

Try using this

Guys appreciate all the comments, never heard of bmr,, just looking for a good whey protein
Protein doesn’t add bulk. You need more calories. As someone suggested look for a mass gainer which gives a high amount of calories per serving. Bulk powders do a gainer called Informed Mass which is pretty good. 2 of those a day is 1000+ calories. And more if taken with milk instead of water.
Protein powders are supplements so do have a purpose , but firstly get your diet in alignment with your goals , find your TDE total daily expenditure, eat in a calorie surplus to that ,more calories than you burn , and eat 1.2-1.5g protein per kg of body weight , for muscle recovery , if you can’t hit that supplement it . Resistance train and Maybe add in some creatine , Don’t bother with anything else 🤛

But why?

If you want to gain weight and are struggling to eat food you need to look at eating healthy fats.

1g of fat = 9 calories
1g of protein = 4 calories
1g carb = 4 calories

Eat an average sized avocado and that will be just over 200 calories
Eat 50g of almonds and that will be just over 300 calories

To eat 500 calories of skinless chicken would be about 450g

That said and done a protein target is important

You're BMR is the amount of calories required to exist. If placed in a coma you would be fed that amount of calories per day as a minimum

You need a mass gainer mate
