Which AMEX card is valid for money back offers?

On the American Express website there's over a dozen cards to choose from. And I seem to remember comments from HUKD members that some cards are not eligible for certain promotions. Which cards are eligible for the money back promotions AMEX regularly advertises - for example Spend £150.00, get £50 back at Jessops or Spend £50 spend, get £20 back at Cafe Rouge?

Ideally one of the AMEX cards without any annual fee.

Amex gold/platinum are the main ones

    Sometimes on the BA Amex.

The Amex gold is free for the first year, £140 after. So make sure you cancel it. If taking any cards out make sure you get a referral and you can get bonus points. Pm me if you want one

Thanks. How about the Basic card, isn't this one eligible for offers?

Not that I'm aware of. The gold is free for a year so just remember to cancel it before the first year. If you spend a lot you can get 22,000 membership points for spending 2k in three months as a bonus.
The gold also comes with two lounge passes.
As it's free the first year that would be my choice if I didn't have the platinum

Get the Platinum cashback credit card via topcashback and get free £21.

Does anyone know if they are doing any offers for gold to platinum?

My virgin Atlantic Amex qualifies for the Amex promotions.

I've got the white one, it's free & I make the most of the Amex rewards fairly often.
