    which broadband do you recommend ?

    im currently with aol broadband but the wifi is terrible always loosing connection , im thinking of changing . who do you recommend ?

    ty looks like virgin or bt .

    The strength of your wifi signal has little to do with your broadband signal, other than the router they supply.
    If the line speed is good then you have little to gain by switching,

    I was with virgin for 6yrs and the speed was incredible but wifi was crap im mow with sky fibre amd the wifi is fantastic x

    Aol sent me a new Router to up grade my old Netgear router and the new one was rubbish.i plugged the Netgear back in.

    How long have you had your current router? As a first step, probably worth contacting AOL and asking for a newer model explaining the issues you have.

    As said, it's not likely related to your supplier. It'll be the router.
    First thing I'd try would be switching to an alternative wifi channel. It is possible that there is interference on the channel you currently use i.e. if you and your neighbours on either side all have routers set on channel 1 this would cause your symptoms. Try changing to another channel and see if you have different results.

    If you have an android phone, you can download a wifi analyser app which will tell you what channels are congested and which would be best for use.

    i had the same issue with AOL broadband....kept loosing internet connection and WiFi.....
    now changed to BT Infinity 2 with fibre optic....absolutely no problem
    was going to get virgin but there virgin was not available in my building....

    ive had a new router from aol and the connection is still poor .

    buy a better router from amazon and just flog theirs like i did

    Check channel signal could be a wifi conflicting over anything else.

    Don't go for Sky, their pretty ****, average speeds for £10 less than what I was paying with virgin media (16mbs sky, 47mbs virgin).

    But both as bad as each other for tv, phone and internet working constantly.

    That will be because they only supply cheap and nasty routers, buy your own from eBay or Amazon etc.

    Virgin media ftw.
