    which earphones? for around £100

Anyone tried both? which do you prefer.

I have had the the bose triport but they broke after a couple of years only 1 earphone works now, due to the wire being a little cut.

My brother had Bose in ear headphones and they broke after a year so I probably wouldn't recommend them.

Not heard of the brand will google it.

I bought the Monster ones after the wire on my Bose pair snapped. I like them both, but the Monsters definitely have better bass.
The Bose ones don't really go right into your ear like the Monsters.

    Difficult to decide though.

seems quite common that the bose earphones mess up then. Yeah plus i get the monster ones pretty cheap. Are the monster ones as comfortable though?

Yep, the Monster ones are comfortable. They block external sound well too.

Bose are trash for in ear. Check out Shure.

The wire on my Bose in-ears also broke after a year, so I wouldn't recommend them either.

shure / senns all the way, checkout sites that give guides for the amount you are spending

My BOSE in earphones have broken too after very little use - one ear just stopped working - thought Id gone deaf for a while! I really look after my stuff and there is no evidence externally of damage - I'm really fed up. Another problem is the ear 'grommets' which detach all to easily and then get lost. 2 out of 10 for physical design which I thought was a BOSE selling point. THey need to get back to the drawing board with this product.

You got a good choice for this budget. I've got the Sennheiser IE7's and find them excellent. Also a cheaper RadioPaq Jazz which is nearly on par with the IE7's but the Jazz packs more bass and low ends on them.

Avoid the Beats you can do better than those!

Soundmagic pl50's are a great cheaper version, you won't find them in the shops but there are some on Amazon, I believe they are getting pretty good reviews from a lot of people, would make a good second pair or main pair if you liked them. I have a pair and then they are great, only thing is they seem a little flimsy. Sound quality is perfect though, best ones I have had, better than the sennheiser in ears too imo

take a look at this list

Both Monster and Bose are known to be overpriced for what they are. For the same money or less, you could buy something better from a more respected manufacturer.
