LOL! AS long as it is a fruit it does not matter. They're good calories lol. Just eat any fruit.

Celery is the lowest calorie fruit/veg.
apples have about 50Kcals.
But even on a diet you really dont need to worry about the calories in fruit - it is harmless, and the majority ingredient in most fruit is water

Fruit is full of sugars and these can be increased by crushing etc (smoothies the worst). don't know answers to calorie count but surely you can use google?

As long as its fresh fruit it doesnt really matter. Just dont get the pre packaged stuff in stores as they usually have quite a lot of carbohydrates which sugar. Best fruit i'd say is Strawberries. 10 is about 20 calories which is nothing lol

toffee apples:p

Funny you should start this thread as my oh and I were just eating raw celery (we r both on a diet) and discussing whether the 'you use more caleries eating celery than you get from it' story is true. So I just googled it.

Looking at this link I have also found that I should be drinking cold diet drinks (i prefer them at room temp as I have sensative teeth) as this also uses up caleries!!!

Mainly cause its not solely based on calories. The Curly Wurly will have a massive saturated fat rating, whereas the fruit is likely to hardly have any. Although bananas are the fruit with the most calories, so you shouldnt really be eating too many of them lol

they say if you eat pineapple after every meal the pineapple burns up the fat of that meal!

You should eat the salad/fruit before your meal, to help aid digestion

the sugars are fructose sugars - naturally occuring sugars, and does not count to the 95grams reccomended daily allowance of carbs of which sugars

Tomatoes!

Also, drink chilled water, not tap temp.
Ya body burns up calories heating the water up, before it can absorb it.

I think advocados are quite fattening.

Tomatoes!

Exactly what I thought:lol:

21c per tom approx.

Home grown stuff usually always tastes nicer than store bought. Tomatos are a good example.

celery (veg)?

Are hops good for the diet????? I do hope so as I am doing my 5 a day:-D

I have rice cakes too, although I make them a bit more exciting by spreading marmite on them, or a very thin layer of honey. Tescos do some flavoured varieties too, salt & vinegar and chilli.

Do you eat raw veg? I often find raw vegetables, such as sprouts and carrots, are a lot more filling than when cooked, so often snack on them.

Erm, where to begin......cereal bars - look for no added sugar ones, apple chips - new thing at sainsburys, down crisps aisle and taste lovely and although they are technically a fruit it seems more like you're eating crisps

Wouldnt touch shop bought toms, home grown have very delicate fine skins - shop bought have tough leathery skins in comparison!!!! Same with the majority of veg home grown taste infinitely better - especially "dirty carrots" (shop bought are all cleaned up so lose their flavour - storing with a layer of soil preserves the taste for the just dug up flavour! I havent got the space for other fruit/veg but find someone on the local allotment they are often a good source of nice veg at good prices (our allotment is literally 100 yards away and I am considering if I would have the patience to reap the rewards of home grown for the family! £10 a year for a plot so cheap as chips (well home grown spuds!)

That's a myth I'm afraid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D:p

Cadbury light chocolate mouse is a good desert for when you really have sweet cravings as there are only 60 cals per yummy pot. Alpen light choc and orange cereal bars are also good at just 70 cals per bar.
