Which Tyres do I choose

Ok so I have 4 tyres to purchase for my Focus, I'm going to Kwikfit as I get 4 for the price of 3 online.

I have a choice of Dunlop, Goodyear or Bridgestone all within pennies of each other.

Does anyone have any experience of these brands, bear in mind I'm not gunna wanna wizz round like a loon at my age but I hate tyres that understeer.
Thanx in advance

Dunlop SPT Fast Response

Goodyear Excellence

Bridgestone ER300

I use GoodYear NCT5's 205/55/15 on my car for a good all round robust tyre, and I have to say that they are dam good quality. I do a lot of driving in all weathers and have found them to be very reliable. Great all weather traction and then theres the mumbo jumbo about reinforced bridge yada yada yada....lol

All the brands you've mentioned are probably equally as good as they are all good named brands so to me it would really be a case of personal preference, have you used the other brands before?

try www.mrtyres.co.uk...for my vectra they are cheaper despite kwikfit's offer and also do fitting locally

Thanx ppl will look at the reviews, dunlop used to be my pref but I like the look of the Goodyears :giggle:

Happy new year :santa: repped

Steer clear of Pirelli. Quality is outstanding and grip is excellent in wet but the road noise is unbelievable.

Can back up the NCT5 comment here - have used them for years. They wear very well, and the price is usually competitive.

Check against prices here to make sure you're getting good value from Kwikfit:

I've got Goodyear Eagles on my Focus. These were far better than the Michelins that where on it when a brought it.
There are a few tyre review sites knocking around, just stick "tyre review" in your search engine.
I can recomend blackcircles, I've used them before. Also demon tweeks do some good deals, but you have to ring them for a quote.

I wouldn't suggest any of the tyres listed, but would push towards Contin Premium/Sport contact 2 or 3 for a similar range, or Vredestein. However, I do have the Dunlop Fastresponse on my car and do not particularly rate them.

Horrible irony, the day after i posted the links on here, had a ruddy puncture! M6, 70mph (ahem) sounded like i hit a stone, then the rumble of my nearside rear tyre flapping about!

Went for Pirelli in the end . . . . . £110 or so fitted :x . . . . . .
