Goldeneye on VC.

A proper tennis game would be good (though I am addicted to Wii Sports)

Goldeneye the 64 game? Whens this due out?
Quick question- can the classic controller be used for gamecube games or do you need gamecube controller?

Don't know when it's due out, just know i'll download as soon as it becomes available.

AFAIK can only use gamecube controller for gamecube games but i've have neither so i haven't tried it myself. Someone else could probably shed more light?

I think GC controller can be used for some VC games though.

Fancy having to buy 2 gamecube controllers, 2 classic controllers, along with 2 wii motes and 2 nunchucks to be able to play 2 player on all games :-(

Alot of VC games use the GC or Wiimote so i wouldn't be too worried.

I can't wait for Mario Party, I'm looking forward to other games, but I just love that series as I usually have friends up for playing it.

Only bought the Wii as a party game, got Wii Sports & Wii Play - doubt I'll get any proper games (thats what the 360 is for !!).

Might download some VC games though (but then again, I got a modded original Xbox with every SEGA, NES, AMIGA & MAME game ever released on it.....)

Hmm, it's not very likely though: Rare/MS/Nintendo/Activision all coming to an agreement?

that mean you have stuff like Manic Mansion and Dragon Force? Man them games were cool. What ever happened to the old Atari Jaguar games, you never hear of them now and that had brutal sports which was also fun.

It wouldn't be difficult at all, as Nintendo have the rights to Goldeneye on the N64, so there's every chance that it will come out as a VC game.

We've already preordered Smash Bros, as despite this being one of the very early games released of the Gamecubes life, it was easily one of the best and i have no doubt the Wii version will be similar and this is coming from someone that had around 70 games on the Gamecube.

I'm not really looking too forward to the other games mentioned, as despite being a Nintendo fan for as long as the days of Mario fighting Donkey Kong, mario has lost his appeal in his adventure games but would still entertain most of his fans.

Mario party can be really entertaining at times but that's also in strong decline becoming an average party game over the years and don't forget that most people will already have other party/mini games including warioware (well worth getting and it's still £26.99 at choiceuk from my thread), Wii Sports (included with the console) and Wii Play (still £27.99 from the thread i made from Powerplaydirect including the voucher).

Sonic is also another game that has really lost it's charm, especially since he moved over to 3-d environments, he's still yet to have a quality release in this fashion for over a decade, so best to avoid it unless you're a big Sonic fan or you find it in your bargain bins in the very near future.

Hope that helps some people.

No need for that: just buy 2 best available GameCube controllers (GameCube Wavebird Wireless Controller), and you can play all the GameCube and VC games without any problems!
I recently purchased 2 GameCube Wavebird Wireless Controllers for cheap when they were on sale at play.com, but they sold out within two days! Amazon sells them for £25 each (special order).

I bought a classic controller and am very happy with it, as it enables me to play mariokart 64 (woohoo!!) and mario 64 from my bed without any wires (except for the one connecting to the remote).

Will buy a GC controller also so that I can play 5 player bomberman (friend has 2 remotes+my 2+ GC controller), 2 player Mariokart and SSBB (which I'm almost 100% certain will be required for it).

I've preordered SSBB, Sonic and Mario Party 8

My friend bough Rayman and it's really really enjoyable to play, so I'd recommend that to anyone (better than WarioWare tbh, and I completed Warioware pretty quickly).

There's my 2p-worth
