who do I contact for a new ps4 controller (damaged thumbstick)

So I've been looking for replacement thumbsticks on amazon and it turns out this a common fault and if you contact sony they will eventually send you a new one if you pest them, has anyone tried this? I'm looking to sell my current black ps4 to buy a white one but I can't sell it with this damaged controller it would knock way too much off the value

Yup had 2 controllers replaced, 1 from Amazon, and 1 direct with Sony.

If you go on Sony website, under support warranty, they have a specific page relating to the controller. It asks for the serial number on the back of pad. That tells them the age of the pad, and if still under warranty. They will ask you to print off a free returns label. Sent me a new replacement pad within 10 days.

Amazon, simply asked what the problem was, I told them the left analogue stick rubber had split, issued a credit note immediately, and also emailed a free returns label.

had a new one sent from amazon, was told i could keep the old one and then purchased thumb stick covers for £3.. jobs a good un, 2 working controllers
