I moved in to a new flat.. There is a telephone line there which is working. The agency told me that it belogs to the previous tenant.
They have no idea what is the provider.

How can I check what is the telephone company provider? How can I check if there is any ADSL connection on the line?

Thanks!

Will they also know about the internet provider if any?
Is it legit for me to keep using the line and pay the bills?

How can you pay the bill if you don't know who it is?
They will try and close the account unless they are Talk talk then I would just go elsewhere as they have no clue about tennants changing properties. (Pathetic service)
Not sure if they can tell you but in all likelyness should.

You can wait for the next bill to arrive, if paper billing and then call them and change your details over..

However i would suggest trying to get in touch with them somehow and just get the details changed over...

top tip -- try and not let the line get closed, just get it transferred... as it may cost you a new connection fee to get re-enabled.

Thanks for the tips
The previous tenant left the country because of her visa. I will ask agency for her details.
