why do JD sports display items that are out of stock

JD sports do this ALL the time, all year round
they display items that arent actually available. when you click on them it'll just have a random size greyed out so you cant click it.
and now they have sizes you can click but when you try to add it just get an erro message saying cant add to bag or error or inssuficient stock.
its really annoying & i guess they just do it to make themselves look good so it looks like they had said item at reduced price when for most items i dont believe that to be the case.
surely there must be some selling law against advertising oos products at a reduced price.

rant over lol

usually i'm already on their site to see these items. nnot having pop ups at the side of said oos items.

JD sports thinks all there customers are thick. I've stopped buying from them you take ages finding things you like and at the end it's OUT OF STOCK. There's loads of good sports retailers out there.

second that. hate sports direct. at least jd do free c&c & free returns & returns can be done instore which is a +. sports direct is a joke. jd gets a bad name from all the chavs but if you can grab one of their non existant deals then they are ok

what makes me laugh is that a lot of these big companies havent actually got onto the fact its a buyers market , in this hi tech mobile era people just get quotes online in seconds while theyre actually instore , I rarely shop at the high street now , why should I when I can browse online and not have to put up with excessive parking charges , snotty know all staff , and when I say excessive parking charges ill give you an example , to park in Liverpool city centre for just over 4 hours is around £24
