Can anyone recommend a decent WIFI booster, Most of the laptops work fine throughout the house, but my desk top does not have built in WIFI and I am using a D link through A Usb to get a connection, but it keeps dropping out, yes I have tried the Plugs through the ring main, but they only seem to last for 12 months

Aldi are selling a wifi booster for £19.99 but I don't have one to vouch for it if that helps, we have a upstairs old Pc running wifi of a sky wifi box by just plugging the cat 5 cable straight into network port on pic and that gives a good signal

I used one of these and it works great. Extends your current wifi and simply plugs into the wall, excellent range.

    Many thakns for the answers,
    one further question
If I use one of these boosters will I need to reconfigure everything or just the one problem desk top.

If you have an old router you are not using, you could configure that to act as a repeater.
