Wifi or data for a week in Menorca?

Going away for a week in 2 weeks time and would like to have internet connection for phone and tablet. Hotel would charge £25 for week for wifi - is there a better or more economical method - maybe data that could also be used outside hotel? I have spare smart phone and Tesco, Asda and Three sims. Tethering? Did a search but did not anything useful.

Put £10 on your Three sim and convert it to an all in one £10 add on, this will give you 1GB of data, 100 minutes and 3000 texts which lasts for 30 days.

Hotel wifi is likely to be rubbish even if you pay for it. Especially at the end of the day when everyone goes back to their rooms.

Thanks - but problem is I don't think Three allow tethering - the tablet has no facility to accept a sim.

There was a deal from Freeclick. You got about 300mb a day free from a Alcatel phone setup as a hotspot. Don't know if it's still available, it was funded by the tourist agency. Have a nice time!

Checked thanks but seems to be just provided by selected Spanish hotels - I know mine charges.

Sorry didn't know it had changed. You used to be able to collect or have it delivered. They gave you a post paid Jiffy bag to put it in the post to them when you finished. Maybe they "lost" too many!

They don't on Feel at Home, i tried but got the dreaded tethering not allowed page.

if you get the data reward sim you can use it in a wifi dongle. Maybe you can borrow one from a friend. Three feel at home data is good for whats app and browsing the web but they seem to heavily restrict videos to the point where they won't load. (speed tests are actually decent but no video would load in any reasonable amount of time)

I'm on an EE contract and I get 500mb a day for £3 a day which works out at £21 for the week and will be better than the wifi. Not sure if it works on EE payg also but worth asking the question to them??
