    Wii and Cyclowiz

My brother has got a wii but his is different to mine it has a switch on the back that is apparently read and write... does it have to be on read all the time when playing games? or doesn't it matter

you wouold only put it in "write" when you want to update the bios. :Leave it in read otherwise.

Make sure it's OFF all the time! If not it's possible Nintendo could disable it. It's invisible when OFF or in READ mode. When the switch is ON or WRITE it can be reflashed.

Depends what sort of switch has been fitted - I just have two wires so I could be sure (short the wires and it's on) The cyclowiz firmware DVD gets you to test it's working before you reflash so that would work if you're really not sure... cyclopswiz.com/
