Wii Sports Help Please

I have just bought a Wii for me and my fiance and wii sports was not in the box and i have been back to the shop and they say it must have been and wont give me a copy i have contacted nintendo but had no reply can anyone help me out with a copy please?

Take the whole thing back ask for a refund and buy another.

Go back and tell them (ask for Manager and SPEAK LOUD IN SHOP SO THAT THEY GET HIM/HER) that unless they refund/exchange for what you paid for you will complain to trading standards and contact the local press. If they dont refund you, contact trading standards, ring your local paper and stand outside the shop for a photo - funnily enough that usually gets the shop manager to come out and resolve the problem VERY quickly.

....but they should have it on record when you bought the console plus the time you bought it that no copy of said game left the store on their system.

The game is in a cardboard wallet in the box with the wii so they won't have any record of it not being in the box. Plus you don't start getting everything out of the box in a shop in the middle of the xmas rush

Well you should it's what you're supposed to do, else people could pretend they walked out with an empty box come back in and go "the bloody box is empty!!!" :x give me another £200 xbox 360 NOW or I will go to trading standards!!!

That's right, it is your responsibility to check that you have what you paid for, its the same as checking your change before you leave the shop. So you should have checked that the box was sealed.

That in mind, I do recommend yo go back to the store and make "a scene" as to get the managers attention. It might also pay to call Nintendo as large companies like Nintendo probably get far more spammy emails to go through than they do phone calls.

if the box was sealed etc and you unseal it and check everything is in the box - then a few days later change your mind and dont want it and take it back for a refund the store could say its not sealed etc and so no refund..... so yes its a good idea in theory to check everything is in the box before you leave - but under consumer law with regards to changing your mind and wanting to return for a refund (if the product isnt faulty) it could be tricky.....

If you paid by CREDIT CARD then I am guessing it was over £100 so you could also complain to them as the contract is with them and its also their responsibility to make sure everything is ok etc....

There is no consumer law allowing refunds for perfectly good items, that's just some stores being nice and most of them now exclude some items such as consoles :thumbsup:

Mine came in a proper case.

wii play is worth a lot of money because you can only get it with a new wii, if you scratch ur copy you pretty well knackered and its prob the game my kids play with the most there around 25 quid on ebay.

i must say i dont know anyone who checks the box before they leave u buy it sealed and u presume that you getting what you have paid for the shop should accept some responsibility surley they can go back to nintendo i think saying check the box is a stupid thing to say and its no help
i would do what the other helper said take it back and cause a scene good luck
