Wii U Basic vs Premium that is the difference worth?

    Hi All

What do you think the difference in box content is worth in real world? is it worth to buy premium vs basic for £50 more? or not? I understand that difference between 8GB and 32GB is meaningless as I will have to add external storage anyway but I still have some old Wii games which I wish to use. therefore I unnderstand that I will have to buy accessories to white version which are already in the box with black version - is that right?

anyhow nacked white version is for £160-ish black with MK8 for £240 (MK8 is £46 by itself on Amazon) so is the £34 difference woth paying?

    Cheers

The basic does not come with a sensor bar or controller so unless you have these from an old Wii you would need to purchase separately.

The Wii U Basic "Just Dance" / "Wii Party U" bundles *do* come with a sensor bar and Wii Remote Plus controller (as well as one of the aforementioned games). You even get a copy of Nintendo Land. They're the best value Wii U Basic consoles and have been heavily discounted recently. keep your eyes on this search and one or two should pop up. Shopto have recently been selling one of them via eBay for something ridiculous like £155.

(this is for the japanese variants - but is still applicable).

    long story short:

2 x cradles for your Wii U Controller (one can be plugged into the supplied Wii U Controller charger)
1 x pair of console stands to mount the console vertically

the cradles can be bought separately for less than a fiver. third party console stands are also available I believe.

if you do end up buying a Wii U Basic *without* a sensor bar and Wii Remote Plus, you can pick up one of these (better prices are available than the one posted at the time of writing). they're very good value for money.

I'd value the extra accessories in the premium - sensor bar, 2 stands - at less than £10. If you have a Wii then you probably don't need controllers (which aren't included) or the sensor bar anyway.

I'd personally go for the bigger hard drive, from past experience (4GB xbox) its just easier.

You can plug a USB pen drive into the basic. Quick, cheap extra storage.

The basic just dance or party u bundles offer the best value
