Wii/Freeloader question

My GC is an American one, as are all my games. I got it whilst on holiday in the US years back and kept buying US games off ebay etc.

Anyway, I want to play some of my GC games on my UK Pal Wii.. what do I need? I hear the Freeloader doesn't work with certain Wii's, firmware issues?

Thanks

I saw on youtube once that if you put in a uk disc, just before it loads up press eject and then insert the us disc and it loads,
don't know if it works as have only seen it and not done it but worth a try i think,

Too much hassle/risk.. but thanks.

The freeloader won't work on the wii anymore unless you've got very old firmware and can stick with it (recent games will update it). I have an gamecube also and might consider buying some of your NTSC games if you are selling. Already have freeloader for the gamecube.

Thanks for your post. Yeah, I heard that about the older ones working and the newer ones not. How can I find out my f/w, and which f/w works with the freeloader?

Won't be selling any of my GC games, unfortunately. (Except maybe Smashing Drive and WTA Tennis?)
