Chelsea are a big club with an ambitious owner," he said. "They have great players and they have ambitions to fight for the title and win the Champions League.

"I want to leave Tottenham as friends. I have enjoyed my time there, but now it is right for me to look at another club.

"I have an arrangement with the chairman. When I signed my new contract, he said that, if another club came to sign me, they would consider the offer."

When we have players on long contracts we have no need to entertain offers."Spurs boss Ramos insisted on Saturday he wants to keep Berbatov, who hit four goals against Reading. He said: "He's not for sale and we don't want to sell him."Spurs gave Berbatov a big pay rise last summer taking him up to £40,000 a week, he is on a four-year contract with a two-year extension option and they are hopeful he will stay loyal to the club. But agent Dantchev has hinted that Berbatov may want to quit, despite previously assuring Levy that his client would stay until the end of the summer.Dantchev said: "I have already spoken to the Tottenham chairman and told him that if a club that corresponds to Dimitar's class and ambition comes in with an offer that suits his current club in January, he would like to be allowed to go."Dimitar is OK at Tottenham. I would not say he is happy. But his performances for the club are a testament to his commitment to the fans and his team-mates. He has never stopped trying and scoring goals to help the team."Fans must understand Dimitar is 27 next month and time is running out for him to play for a club that can match his ambition. I would like to stress this is not about money. This is about sporting ambition."

Heard it all before, bye Modric. Please go to Utd.

They could both come to United if they want to win silverware.

Will that be Wilshere's stance next summer if Arsenal don't make the top 4?? Especially if Nasri and/or Fabregas leave.

With Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City & Spurs all going for top 4.

Arsenal are a traditionally a Champions League club. Spurs arent.

Even if Arsenal missed out on a place (which they wont) its not as if they wouldnt get it back quickly.

But guess what......I hear that Wilshire has now tweeted that he should now leave though as he was crap last season and he'd be better off with the European champions rather than a club that doesn't win anything and not likely to get into the champions league proper.

You're incorrect. Fabregas never put in a transfer request or pushed for a move and actually if he did then he most probably would've been off but he genuinely loves Arsenal and respects Wenger so didn't. He had a meeting with Wenger before the World Cup where he told Wenger he'd like to move to Barca and that's it.

I can't see Chelsea, Man Utd or Man City not making top 4 but it's going to be between Liverpool and Arsenal and with Liverpool investing and Arsenal looking like losing players at the moment they could slip out. Until 2 years ago Liverpool were a traditional Champions League club as well but the Spurs and Man City have vastly improved and except for Chelsea and Man Utd there is not much between the other 4.

No it's just pretty common knowledge, Fabregas said himself he had the meeting and left it upto Wenger. If Barca had offered enough then Cesc would've been off. If Cesc had demanded a move and submitted a transfer request then it would've been difficult to reject Barca's offer. He could still do that now but it's looking increasingly unlikely which is why Barca aren't going to get away with the kind of sums they're offering.

I suppose it will be same with Modric. If he publicly pushes for the move and submits a transfer request then there's not too much Spurs can do. If Modric keeps quiet then Spurs should be able to get a lot for him. I think he's quite overrated tbh, 3 league assists in a season for a playmaker isn't that great, but if he does go it will probably be closer to £30m which is great business for Spurs.
