Will the Chinese New Year give discounts on Xiaomi phones?

OK, as the title. Will the Chinese New year (28th of January) produce any discounts? Particulary on Xiaomi phones with band 20 an d Global edition which have been 10 to 20 % (ball park) less? TIA

I'm not angry but in nine years of browsing must have seen many thousands of posts, there can be stupid and lazy posts on here, but I didn't think was a too unreasonable post.

My answer is "I dont know".
I will qualify that by saying that China pretty much shuts down for 2 weeks (except for restaurants), so most people avoid shopping during this time period.
The one time I looked at AE during CNY, there were NO Xiaomi phones available from any seller; however this may have been an anomaly, as other brands were still being shown as.

What I will tell you is that the Chinese Postal Service shuts down for the entire 2 week period, and so there are huge build ups in Chinese customs warehouses in the weeks before and after the holiday.

All but one of our baby milk customers got in their quarterly orders weeks ago; we have just had the last regular place an order today; we will dispatch tomorrow, but it is touch and go if it will arrive before the shutdown as even at the best of times, Chinese customs take over a week on average, to clear the goods through.

Sorry for being a little hostile. I should be honoured that you grace my thread with your precence!!!

I think it will be quiet on their New Year but they might want to shift a few after the hols, so maybe a discount then.

he basically said how do I know a fool.

don't think they generally discount electronic products over Chinese New Year, recent years the massive sale dates are double eleven (11th Nov) double 12 (12th Dec) and also Black Fridays thanks to Americans
