I am not sure tbh. I have looked on the website and the v1 is supported but nothing about the v3. I have read somewhere that this router is the same as the WR941 just has fixed antennas but there are a lot more versions of the WR941 so am stuck.

Thanks for getting back to me

Looks like yours uses a custom chip TP9343@750MHz and not the generic AR7240@400MHz so you've stuck out.
From what I can find it's an unsupported CPU so I doubt you're going to get any support soon. Similar problem happened with the E4200v2 which used a custom chip.

Thanks but I might just return it and get a replacement...if I did do this what router would you recommend for DD-WRT?

Thanks again you have been really helpful

To be honest I don't have much of a handle on it anymore. I guess you need to hit on several points

1) Budget
2) Wireless standards 802.11a,b,g,n and ac
3) 2.4GHz/5GHz
4) Range/amount of aerials
5) USB 3.0 support
6) Internal switch/hub speed

I would probably look at one of these http://www.cnet.com/topics/networking/best-networking-devices/802-11ac/

I guess it would be best to ask on the dd-wrt forums as these will be the most up to date.
