Sorry

only having a laugh :-(

Can't laser eye treatment go wrong? Imagine winning then going to get it done and you end up being blind for life. rofl

i saw this being done and its horrible. i thought they just shined a laser in your eye, but they like slice a thin layer of your eye open and stuff. i wouldnt want it done.

I've had it done.

But I chose the company VERY carefully - I spent a good few months reading forums, researching the company etc. The company I chose was expensive, but I was prepared to pay extra.

The whole procedure is painless, although your eyes do feel like they've got grit in them for a few days after - you're given drops to help & you're also given clear plastic cups to put over your eyes at night to stop you rubbing them in your sleep (the kids thought it was hilarious!). The only side effects were that for the 24hrs or so after the op all I wanted to do was sleep (apparently it's the body's mechanism to aid recovery), my eyes couldn't stand bright light for a few days (but I did look cool wearing sunglasses indoors!), and lights had a halo effect for a few months after.

I agree, but it's the same with any operation - if you see any op being done it looks horrible.

I've only seen it being performed on Jessica Simpson (don't ask me how I ended up watching Newly Weds, lol). I didn't realise they slice the eye either! My mum was an Optometrist and she told me to never have laser surgery on my eyes. That was probably well over 15 years ago, but I remember it to this day.

Do you have to wear those plastic cups to cover your eyes forever? i.e. you can never rub your eyes!

Technology has changed a lot since then. But like any surgery or drugs, there are risks that you have to weigh up.

Brother had it done and is very pleased with it.

 It is probably safe to say, there are no risks to wearing glassess? :w00t:

No competitions for free hip replacement / kidney transplant....

Not sure this company are behaving ethically IMO. Plastic surgeons would be criticised for advertising competitions for bigger boobs / nose jobs. Not much difference here

Must admit I should wear glasses, but I find the world looks a nicer place with blurry edges:?
