Win a 7 night holiday in London and the South East

Tourism South East, the official South East England tourist board and Visit London are giving one lucky couple the chance to win a 7 night holiday in London and the Beautiful South. Spend three days seeing the fantastic must see sights of London and exploring the arts and culture scene, then a relaxing four days in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside.

The winners will arrive in London for the start of a fabulous 3 day break in the capital. A champagne arrival awaits the winners at The Chesterfield, Mayfair. This 4-star luxury hotel epitomises Mayfair chic and traditional British old-world charm. From The Chesterfield, you can explore central London on foot. The glittering shops on Bond Street, Regent Street, and Piccadilly are just a few minutes away. To the south, the Royal Parks offer an inviting stroll towards Buckingham Palace and the daily Changing of the Guard. Nearby attractions include the Royal Academy of Arts, Burlington Arcade, and Fortnum and Mason – all situated on Piccadilly.

The winners will receive tickets to the fantastic Modern British Sculpture exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts. Founded by George III in 1768, the Royal Academy of Arts is an independent, privately funded institution led by eminent artists and architects. Running from 22 January – 8 April 2011 The Modern British Sculpture exhibition will be the first exhibition for 30 years to examine British sculpture of the twentieth century. Time to relax and unwind, the winners will spend the following 4 nights at the Beetle and Wedge Boathouse in Oxfordshire.

This unique accommodation is set on the banks of the River Thames, this picturesque location is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. The beautifully beamed Boathouse not only offers fantastic rooms overlooking the river, but a top class restaurant which the winners will dine in on one of the nights they stay.

Exploring the surrounding countryside couldn’t be easier, you can follow the Thames National Trail all along the river front. The Thames Path follows England's best known river for 184 miles (294km) as it meanders from its source in the Cotswolds through several rural counties and on through the bustle of the City of London. The Beetle and Wedge is close enough to Oxford, Reading and Henley-on-Thames so that you can explore the nearby towns and cities with ease.
