    Win a laptop with TCM (E: 21/9/07)

    From This is London:

Crime could pay for you if you are the winner of this month's News Shopper / Limited Edition prize of a state-of-the-art laptop

Film channel Turner Classic Movies (TCM) is sponsor of the TCM Crime Scene Festival in cinemas across the capital this month.

The Crime Scene Festival is the only UK festival dedicated to the crime genre, examining it from two different perspectives - film and literature.

To celebrate TCM are giving one reader the chance to win a Hewlett Packard HP6715B laptop so the winner can look at the full festival line-up at home online.

The festival runs from September 6 to 9 and sees events spread across London cinemas; The Curzon, Mayfair; The Ritzy, Brixton and The Clapham Picturehouse.

It opens with the British premiere of renowned scriptwriter Scott Frank's directorial debut The Lookout.

The closing night of the festival is the preview of Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof followed by an opportunity for fans to see the director take part in an on-stage Q&A.

This event will be beamed to 13 cinemas across the UK. Other highlights are Q&As with crime writers Lynda La Plante, Martina Cole and Ruth Rendell while David Suchet will talk about his embodiment of Hercule Poirot after a screening of Poirot: Death on the Nile.

TCM will host a week-long season of crime capers from September 10 to 16 with films everyday at 3pm, 9pm and 11pm including Bonnie and Clyde and Goodfellas. For the line-up and to book, visit tcmonline.co.uk/cri…ene

Its actually a network of sites. I normally post London but the same comps appear on all the sites in the network. Besides there's nothing in the T&C's to say you couldn't enter.

    Thanks, entered
