Win a luxury break in Alnwick, Northumberland, with the Cookie Jar hotel @ Sunday Times

Found 27th May
The winner and a guest will stay for three nights, B&B, at the Cookie Jar, a stylish boutique hotel that opened last year near Alnwick Castle. Debbie Cook, the owner, is an experienced hotelier and wife of the former CEO of Hotel du Vin and Malmaison. She has converted a convent into a cosy rustic-chic refuge with Hypnos beds, English bed linen and chunky overstuffed sofas. The Bistro serves light lunches and afternoon teas, and is open on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Alnwick Castle has been the home of the Percys since 1309, and was the scene of Harry’s first broomstick flight in the Harry Potter films. Beyond lies England’s most sparsely populated county — a place of wild moorland, empty beaches and magnificent monuments.
1 What is the name of the park? The Green Park

2 Who was the balloonist? Charles Green
