Have a day out with a difference at Horse of the Year Show where the magic comes to life and memories are made. Returning to the Genting Arena, Birmingham’s NEC from 4-8 October is “The World’s Most Famous Horse Show” where audiences can be inspired by world-class showjumping along with an exciting line up of national showing championships and an energising array of equestrian entertainment.

HOYS plays host to the finals of the most highly regarded national showing and showjumping championships, alongside international showjumping including the world famous puissance. This year HOYS showcases two never seen before equestrian displays, including the breathtaking LIMITLESS performed by Atkinsons Action Horses and an insightful travel through time as we discover The Story of the Caspian Horse.

On dressage Thursday visitors will be treated to a dressage masterclass from the triple Olympic gold medallist, Charlotte Dujardin. Charlotte will put riders through their paces whilst sharing some invaluable training tips and competition advice.

The ever-popular Virbac 3D worming Pony Club Mounted Games will take place throughout the week, battling it out to win the coveted Prince Philip Cup. Also taking place each day will be the Osborne Refrigerators scurry racing, which will have you on the edge of your seat as each team attempts to tackle the course in the fastest time.

There are lots of opportunities to get involved at HOYS whether that is by stroking the horses in the ‘meet the horses’ area, chatting to the different horse societies in the retail village or meeting your horsey hero with celebrity rider signings taking place in the ‘HOYS live zone’ each day – a new area for 2017. And if that’s not enough then you can immerse yourself in the 250 retail stand shopping paradise. With so much to offer under one roof, you won’t know where to begin!

The Sunday gala evening performance is a celebration of champions, a reflection on the supremacy of the horse and an opportunity to see the winners crowned. This year’s finale musical act is the exceptionally talented and unique Red Hot Chilli Pipers with their ground-breaking fusion of traditional Scottish music and rock/pop anthems which they proudly call ‘Bagrock’.
