WIN a pair of Scarpa Charmoz boots worth £250 @ Trek and Mountain

Whether you’re trekking in the Greater Ranges with a big pack, picking your way up a Scottish gully in winter or just out for a walk in Snowdonia, the new Scarpa Charmoz and Charmoz WMN (women’s version) are the essential boots for all of your mountain adventures. Versatility is the word that sums up the Charmoz, since they are comfortable enough to wear for long trekking days on rough trails, yet are also suitable for mountaineering use on all but the most technical of routes.

The uppers are made out of a lightweight and tough L-Tech and Microtech synthetic leather and uses an Outdry membrane which is ultra-breathable, fully waterproof and very durable. The inclusion of memory foam, Autofit Collar, an updated lacing system and the fact that they’re built on the very popular and modern NAG last means that the fit is supportive where it needs to be, precise and yet will fit a wide variety of foot shapes and volumes. All of this innovation and quality sits on top of the new Pentax Precision II XT sole unit, Vibram outsole and is crampon rated to B2.

Despite all the technology and features contained within the Charmoz, they weigh just 720g per boot (size 42), which means less energy expended on long days in the mountains. And with Scarpa’s renowned expertise in creating lasts to fit a wide range of foot types, comfort ‘out of the box’ is virtually guaranteed.
