WIN American: The Bill Hicks Story

At last, the true life story of the outlaw comic who tried to save the world. Much more than a comedian, Bill Hicks has become an inspiration to millions. Developing a unique and fearless style that turned convention on its head, opening up new ways of thinking, Bill's uncompromising approach met with conflict in America and it was instead on the international stage where he found fame.
In 1990, Hicks performed in the United Kingdom for the first time, and became an instant star, finding fame and notoriety which had escaped him in the US and it was just as Hicks seemed on the verge of a commercial breakthrough in America, that he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died on February 24, 1994 at just 32

thanks rk xx

boy was he cool, him and george carling are gods in comedy..."k? K? K?"....lol

Cig smokin, hard drinkin, drug takin , whinging egotistical under-educated yank...glad this didn't get much heat.
Was there ever any optimism in what he moaned on about?
"Save the world" ...yeah right he couldn't even save himself!!

You know discovering Bill Hicks was one of the most significant moments of my late teens. It was so gratifying and reassuring to find a man that thought the same things I did and would say them and deliver these thoughts and beliefs with such eloquence, intelligence and yet still make his point incredibly funny.

I've already bought this because I am quite the avid fan. Ladies and gentlemen... to a true American F*cking hero who has inspired and influenced a generation of comics... Mr. Bill Hicks!
