Window Fitters - how to restrict how much a window opens?

Hi we have a window (which is not used for a fire escape) that opens to 90degrees in a 5yo bedroom. We want piece of mind by restricting how much it can open. I have seen things you buy on line to do this, but looking at the track, I was wondering if you buy a clip that stops the slider thus restricting how much it opens ( or just put a screw in it?)

Thanks, tho my non conforming 5yo would soon learn how to unlatch it!

the cord restrictor with base plate is an easy fit, the plate fits under your existing handle

You need something like this that's child proof/locks

    Safety Window Restrictor
