Hi,

I just purchased this W7 Pro upgrade.....here hotukdeals.com/ite…e=3

And at present I'm using an Acer M3600 with Windows Vista...............but I have no disks.

With the above purchase will I only be able to install as a upgrade or will I be able to do a clean install? I have not used or know the how to's of installing W7 but have read some threads that mention it is a possiblity.

Thanks in advance for answers

I believe there is a bug in the install process which means if you don't put any product key in when you clean install, when you put it in later after install, it detects itself as a valid upgrade product, and activates!

Cool....................can you gimmi details or a link to how that works? If not that's cool I will just not put the number in as you say till after.

I just checked with MS and they say from Vista to W7Pro must be a clean install anyway..........so looks like that will be the way to go. Thx Rep added

Try here (I have not tried this myself)

winsupersite.com/win…asp

Try doing a search for "Windows 7 clean install upgrade media" and see what hits you get.
