I believe you are referring to the Documents History. If you right click the Start Menu, then select Properties and click Start Menu tab you will see a couple of options. Uncheck the option to Store and display recently opened items.

Document History was being referred to. A list of burned files was referenced via the search bar. In my book, they are documents, not installed software. I was not too sure myself, hence the statement "I believe you are referring to the Documents History".

    What you wanna hide???

Porn from the wife girlfriend or mum and dad depending on the age of the op probably lol

i didnt mean that it is a system hog but its information which collects within windows so thus the os has to store more information, similar to your internet history which sometimes requires a clean out!

i dont personally need it though.

system tweaking is essential to a smoother running os imo i suffer far less problems when making adjustments such as disabling of the indexing service, disabling thumbnail preview not to mention speeding up the interface of windows even though i have a multi core processor!

cant really compare to internet history as it only stores the last 10 per software utility. It would have practically zero effect on performance.
