Windows 7 Ultimate (How many licence's does it have?)

So picked up a copy of Windows 7 recently..
Was wondering how many licence's it will contain, as I would like to put it on my PC, however i will be upgrading it soon'ish.. (in about 6 months or so)

When I upgrade windows 7 will be unstalled from this machine and put onto the new machine. If I install it on here, will it still let me install it to my new machine?

    Thanks,

It will only contain the one licence.

If it is the RETAIL (boxed) verson you CAN move it from one machine to another, as long as it is only ever installed on ONE machine at a time.

If it is the OEM (non-boxed) version then officially you can only ever put it on the one machine and it can never be moved to another machine (even if the original machine breaks down and is never used again).

That is the official line, however I have heard of people moving an OEM version to a new PC by saying they have "upgraded" the original PC by replacing the motherboard or whatever.

    +1

Either way it should install fine, However it may not activate etc..

I upgraded a machine with XP OEM and it wouldn't activate, I phoned the free number it gives you and activated it that way, Didn't even have to speak to anyone as it's automated...!!!
