No, that means vista is still on your system, and seems to be installed as a dual boot.

    Have you tried disk cleanup?

ha ha you did what my mate did and installed windows 7 on your recovery partition.

If you havent activated your copy yet go back and install it all again...

As said, your best of installing over vista now, will stop that from asking, might be better doing it as an upgrade.

you have to find a way to delete your vista partition and then extend the win7 partition to the free space. im not sure how to do it though.

I wouldnt delete the vista partition if you have stuff you want on it though. not until your sure youve backed it all up.

this is what ive done now, deleted vista by going into msconfig and clicking boot and deleting it from there. I installed windows 7 again but this time on the right drive, and then deleted the other windows 7 I had installed on the recovery drive, after doing this my recovery drive was still pretty much full so I just formated that drive as I had already backed up all the stuff I needed. hope this was the correct way?

    anyone?

So long as it let you activate and install again, then your fine. You could always try remove the partition and just have the one drive.
