Winzip-any alternatives?

I can't get the hang of winzip, are ther any alternatives I can download to help me open downloaded files?

Open Source freeware. Handles both .zip and .rar (amongst others)

Aren't they all basically the same process though, why can't you get on with winzip??

Could someone not help you out rather than switching zippers...ooh that sounds dodgy.

7-zip is good but that's a different format, try Winace.


7z is the native format but it fully supports ZIP format as well.

Just couldnt resist an oppurtunity like that! Knowing my luck i'll get an infraction again for being rude to other members! My last ones only just expired!

ZipGenius is another Ive seen used quite widely.
Although the one time I tried it crashed

]7-Zip every time, it handles just about every format you're ever likely to come across and is 100% free. So no annoying popups trying to get you to buy something, best part is it actually compresses better than the pay for alternatives like WinZip.
