Wireless back up solution?

sorry if I am sounding daft but just in the process of getting my laptop backed up and was wandering if there is such a thing where I can backup wirelessly, like having a external hard drive 1.5tb+ with a Ethernet port so I don’t have to physically attach a USB to my laptop and wait hours and also have the ability to access stuff over air such as movies etc.
Any help much appreciated

Buffalo linkstation live as long as you have a router. You really do not want to be backing up over wireless though, it's far too slow. (even to this device over gigalan the speeds are quite slow) get the pro version and the speed goes up to 35 meg a second)

look at some other nas type devices for wireless audio/video streaming etc (make sure they say either DLNA or UPnP AV )

Have you not got an esata port on laptop or an express 34/54 port. You can buy a 2 port esata express card for your laptop and then get an external 3.5 caddy that does esata (faster speeds than a mechanical 2.5 HDD (from a dedicated esata port)) or get a 2.5 caddy and stick an SSD drive (this is low gb per you £ spent though and not really designed for backups) especially as you are mentioning 1.5tb
