You want an alarm to keep people out then you want to link it to Alexa so that Amazon (and hackers) knows your every move. Interesting. However that is the way people seem to be thinking these days.

Which has a piece on alarm options and some good/bad suppliers.
Have a look at response alarms...easy to install and reasonably priced
Take a look at Verisure alarms, I have one, it is wireless and very easy to use. You can activate/deactivate from ur phone and it also has guard response.
Also, try out Yale (https://www.yale.co.uk/en/yale/couk/products/smart-living/smart-home-alarms/smart-home-alarm-and-view-kit/). A friend has had one recently fitted and has recommended it to me.
Don’t go for a Yale wireless alarm, support is non existent if required and they are not graded and are only ‘1 way

Look for a ‘2 way’ wireless alarm with a ‘Grade 2’ standard.
Look for a local security company that does Visonic and get a quote. They’re good reliable systems.
