Looking for some ideas - need to go wireless. Currently have a Desktop PC - broadband (Cable) and a Sony Vaio Laptop.

Don't mind if bought on line or in store. Live in the Midlands. Was looking at the Maplins deals :
(Wireless-G Network Kit for Notebooks Manufacturer: Linksys)

Anyone have a good deal or can point me in the right direction.

Many Thanks

PCWorld are selling Linksys kit for 59.99. IMHO, this is better than Maplins offer as you will get WRT54GS, which is a very good router. Especially when combined with HyperWRT firmware.
Note that you will not get 125Mbps for two reasons:
1. 125Mbps is Texas Instruments' trademark and WRT54GS is based on Broadcom (or Agere?) chipset, so it should be 108Mbps.
2. Regardless of what numbers marketing guys are using, you will be lucky if your real speed will reach 4-5MBytes/s. But no doubt that without Speedbooster it'll be 3-4MBytes/s, so it is still worth it.
