Hehe i am actually a dark blonde just not bleach hehe.

Well, Just make sure that your connection is protected with a security key, aka a password. They usually ask for one when you set the router up ect. They are usually called WPA or WEP Key's. AS long as it has this 'password' on then no one else can use your connection besides computers you enter this 'password' onto, there around 22 digits i think.

when u connect your laptop to the router does it connect straight away or do you have to put in a password?

If it's WEP it's useless if it's WPA it's fine.

    What he said.

WEP has been thoroughly compromised it provides no security whatsoever.

unless theres a big hacker around WEP is perfectly fine.

Eh I think you mean script kiddies.

Tools are readily available that simplify the whole process. If you want to continue using WEP fine but keep in mind that it can be broken in seconds, especially if you're using it at the time.

Yes, absolutely [abomination], if your laptop and router support WPA make sure you use it, WEP is no real protection in 2008.
