For £50 it's incredibly good. I have the Inspiron 1501 which is pretty much the same as your one just without the fancy stuff and it's 100% signal throughout my flat which is made of mostly stone

Hi, I purchased this about a month ago, it works o.k. for me.
I'm ntl and it was fairly straight forward to set up.
£39.99 delivered, i think this still applies.
    Here's the details.

I presume you laptop has a wifi connection built in?
mine was for a desktop, and it came with the usb adapter for the other p.c.
They are based in Guernsey, but the delivery was pretty quick.
I'm sure it was posted on here previously, sure that's how i found it.
    Good Luck

The links you provided red are certainly faster, they support 802.11n which is much faster than the standard 802.11g. However it is draft so there is no guarantee that it will work with other 802.11n devices when the protocol is finalized.
