Wireless speakers for existing home cinema set up

Found 16th Jan 2007
Hi all,

I'm trying to find some half decent wireless speakers to add into my existing home cinema set up. I've recently moved and am considering this option instead of drilling and mounting my existing ones.

I'm struggling to find wireless speakers in general really, so any help would be very much appreciated.

No real price range at the moment, but it's a yamaha amp that I'd be running them off (DTS, 5.1 enabled etc), so I'm not really going to be interested in the high end manufacturers like Denon, Bose etc, just your 'normal' more affordable speakers!

Thanks in advance

Tried maplin? Also ideal world had some £39 for two plus signal sender (viventa)with the option of buying two more speakers £29. they run off battery or mains up to 100ft range

Not good news I'm afraid.

A few months ago I started searching for 'wireless speakers' and wondered why there weren't many around - I'm assuming you want decent sound from some speakers and that your existing one are say over £100?

Main problem is in the word wireless. Its ok not having speaker wire running from your hi fi to the speaker but, you need to get power to the speakers. So most wireless speakers need you to plug them into the mains:roll:
Hardly wireless:giggle:

These might do the trick but, I can't vouch for how good or bad they are

The option I'm going for is this

It still means you have to wire the units to speakers - but you then get the choice of adding some real decent speakers to get the sound you're after.
