    Woolworths Dvd Can you help!

    Hi pre orded a dvd from woolworths before the collapse should have arrived today but no sight of it. They have not took payment for it but loathed to order another in case it turns up. Has anyone recived a dvd in post since the collapse?

    I've just been looking at my order confirmation from Woolworths, as it should have arrived by now and clicked on the customer services button - website down (has been for a while apparently
    Just looked at credit card account and the money was taken out on the 25th, order was despatched on the 26th. Phoned the number on the order confirmation email but there is a technical fault on there too

    Don't know what else to do :x

    Are these for home delivery or to local shop?

    home delivery, by internet.

    Glad I advised friends to hold off on getting anything from woolies online for a few days.

    i ordered a dvd and a present. One hour later they declared they were going into admin.

    The dvd has arrived. But no sign of the present.

    Can't get on the website or anything, and don't want to order from somewhere else incase it comes through..

    If you cant get through on the phone why not try instore and see if they can give you any information. Good luck.

    I really wouldn't panic. It's this that will lead to the closure.

    Woolworths are still going. Still going to open till Christmas. If it doesn't arrive, blame the postie!

    Them being in administration should not affect your order. The administrators are keeping all parts of the business open over the christmas period as this is when Woolworths make 80% of their annual profits. In terms of doing business with a company in administration you are not in anymore danger than a normal business (unless it is about to be liquidated, but fear not woolworths aren't) Hope it arrives soon

    Thanks everyone, Will give it a few more days, will let you know if it turns up.

    I ordered a DVD via their website on 21st November and I was worried I wouldn't receive it.. Thankfully it arrived on Saturday 29th November.

    I also ordered online from them ( ds game ) but just in case it doesn't arrive I bought the same game in the store and I'll return it, if the other one turns up. I asked in store if they could check their
    systems to find out if it would arrive but the staff said they couldn't access it either.

    Just phoned woolworths this morning and any items out with the couriers before they went into administration have been given the go head to deliver items not sent out before will be refunded i was told it would be refunded back on my card today phew......... considering was over £150 spent im happy!! hopefully it might help someone out

    Ive just had an email saying that my Wall.E dvd order has been cancelled and then another email folowed immediately saying they have issued a refund. glad I know, it means I can nip into town and buy a copy, without worrying that I would end up with an extra copy if the 1st order was to be honoured.
    Im sure everyone else who has ordered and have been let down, will eventually get a refund:thumbsup:

    No email for me. But looks like they only took money for the one DVD i did recived before going bump, not the one ive been waiting for.

    I'm sorry i didnt hang on to the number.... but i phoned my local store (got the number via yell.com) and they give me the number i went through to home delivery services and spoke to someone that way, i dont think he was telling porkies as he rang me back after confirming the courier was going to deliver the parcel in the next couple of days. I didnt recieve any emails or letters either i just rung up.

    I have today, 3 weeks after placing my order for Wall-e DVD, received an email and a txt saying my order has been cancelled. The web is down and the customer services line never answers - no wonder they've gone bust!

    I've just a look myself, as I still need to get a copy, Argos still advertising at £9.87, but you will be lucky if your store has stock, we have 2 stores and neither have stock!

    I wonder when they would have bothered to tell me if I hadn't contacted them first

    Glad to hear you got an answer, good look with replacing them,

    Woolies is a well known company. I am sure they are not in the business of taking money for orders not fulfilled. I suspect they will go through all the orders cancelling them one by one where pre orders are concerned. i suspect they will do these in order of date of release.

    Least emails are going out.

    The issue is where do you take back damaged dvds?
