thankyou very much both of you, ive just got to work so ill give them a look on my break. Its done my nut in to be honest, all i want is a warm shower, had to stick with a cold one last night and then jump into tumble dried clothes. People keep on saying about a reset button which i need to press, I can a see a red thing which has that label next to it but it donesnt go in when i press it. Thanks again, rep given

We had a worcester bosch combi boiler fitted in our last house, not sure if it's the same model.

We had no pilot light and therefore no hot water or heating, waited two days for the British Gas man to come out, and all he did was press this mysterious reset button.

On ours, you took the main white front cover off, under that was a silver metal plate hiding some of the boiler gubbins, you unscrewed that plate and the reset button was behind there.

He even wrote RESET BUTTON and an arrow pointing to it for us to find should it ever happen again.

Refer to first page. Hope this helps.

Thankyou helly, this sounds like it could be the same, did it have a little red thing on top of the box you had to unscrew?

Sorry for the delay, I waited for hubby to get home to see if he remembered any more than me.

But he doesn;t remember any more than lifting the front cover off and it being under the metal plate.

Fingers crossed you manage to sort it out, you don't realise how much you take for granted until the boiler stops working.

Hello,

try this link - worcester-bosch.co.uk/cac…pdf

On page 11 , figure 8, you will see the Overheat Thermostat button.

I think you may need to locate this and press it to reset the boiler.

cheers

Hello all,

Thanks for all the replies, tis actually very handy to be honest this website, the number was helpful, with that i have managed to restore pressure to the boiler but the pilot light still not igniting and the reset button apparently should pop up and let me press it, it doesnt. i think it may be "thermo couple" or the thermo reset valve, its cant tell that the reset button needs to be pressed which would indicate its something to do with the thermostat, but then she dropped in it could be the pump though, how do i go about getting someone out to look at it... who would be best do you all think?

Sounds like you'll need a Corgi registered plumber ££££

Maybe someone on here knows a good one in your area.

There is another forum I use that usually answers my DIY questions on many different themes. Not saying it would answer this problem this time but it is handy when something breaks, collapses, leaks, sags etc.

screwfix.com/tal…862

(and I'm sure there are others)
