Is there anything I can use to save Word files as PDF that can't be edit/changed or written to?

I ask as we have some documents to upload to a website, but need then as PDFs so people can download and view but not change then.

Not sure I can do this in Word (ie: lock a document), but would like then in PDF if at all possible.

cute pdf or use open office
cute pdf acts as a printer. simply install and print document and select cutepdf as printer, it will then save doc as pdf and will not print it

open office allows direct saving to pdf

How would printing it allow it to be uploaded to a website?

Is there any point? If i download a PDF document I always convert it anyway. Wouldnt stop people from changing things.

theres no option in WORD to save as PDF?

We only wanna up load some different version of wedding wordings (ie: what invite should say if Mum/Dad are inviting, or Bride & Groom are inviting etc) so not really an issue if we cant protect.

Any ideas if PDF is the best solution, or anyone recommend a better way.. Obviously we could just type it in html so it appears on the webpage, but you'd be scrolling for ever and ever (ahem), as there are so many different versions

which version has that? 2007 hasn't

2010 lets you save as PDF.

Yes use the add on for saving to PDF - a quick google search will find you an online converter as well.
