Wow, PC World really does "Suck"

Having noticed the "PC World 50% further reductions sale" I thought I would pay a visit, what a mistake.
Found a mini charger including batteries marked up at £4.97, above is a sign clearly showing "50% off marked prices with the big red sticker",
When scanned at the till assistant said "it comes up at £9.97 i`ll have to get a supervisor
" So eventually Sharon turns up (after been asked three times) and says "it`s already reduced, you can have it for 50% off £9.97...... trying to convince her it states on the sticker " minimum of 40% off ", then 50% off sticker price was impossible, she reminded me of the Little britton character "computer says no" anyway I gave up & walked out, never to return!
Would have been a bargain at £2.50, but wouldn`t have paid any more.
Should PC World be the next Woolworths? gets my vote!

Lol oh yeah, missed that bit, then trading standards means they should have honoured it, usually if 75% of their stock is in that area (so noone's dumped it there).

PC world don't know which side their a**e hangs on so I dont even bother going in.

I had this trouble at a couple of different stores. Cashiers didn't have a clue about the 50% off and had to get the manager both times who instantly reduced the already reduced price by the 50%. You would think in a supposedly hi-tech environment like PC World that they would be able to alter the computerised tills to scan the correct prce.......not a hope. You do have my sympathies. ;-)

You should have said to her " Customer Says No " and then walked out

Never thought of that, :w00t: I just said "I give up and walked out.... over the years I must have spent thousands in there, but never again!

So where are you going to buy your mini charger from now? :[

I`m not, I didn`t really want one, just thought it would be a bargain for £2.50.

Hull, St Andrews Quay.

My husband kicked up such a fuss over an incident like this in their Chelmsford store that they backed down in the end, it now means I have to go in and check the deals and he stays out in the car........If there is a problem I go and fetch him as my rottweiller .
He promised to stand at the door and stop every customer who tried to come in and tell them that th store doesn't honour its prices, he even had the printed reserve paper but they wanted to charge double or take it off sale.

You should of saw it coming...after all they live in their "own" world!
Where in the world....pc world!

Possibly the most useless incompetent set of staff ever, customer service skills taught by chimp would be better!

possibly only beaten by the clough road store?

when i was using the replacement voucher i had for a laptop, some woman sa said i could store lots of photos on this model as it has 2gb of memory, so i said i think your getting confused, and thats irrelevant as i have a terrabyte of external hdd, she said i must mean gigabyte and tried to make me out to be the thick one, surprisingly i walked away from her.....

no offence to any older members as im sure lots have extensive computer knowledge, but the old grey haired manager there seems to act liek the most technologically advanced piece of hardware he has ever used is an abacus....
