Now in its sixth year, Wrap Up London is an annual winter campaign that collects old and unwanted coats from you lot, then distributes them to those who struggle to keep warm during the winter months via homeless shelters, refugee centres, elderly organisations, women’s refuges, children's centres and other charities. The aim is to collect 15,000 coats across the city, so get rummaging!

Stations that serve as coat collection points are:

King's Cross
Victoria
Waterloo
Canary Wharf
London Bridge
Highbury & Islington
Euston
Liverpool Street

An excellent charity.

Pity it wasn't national, as I have coats i've never worn.

Southampton City Mission
Any clean and good condition clothes can be donated at our Central Hall venue, weekdays during office hours or dropped off at any of our food venues during their opening times. These will be sorted and displayed for clients to ‘shop’ from when they come in with a voucher on Mondays.

Just looked up where the mission is based, not far from the university.

is that good for you?

Thought it was near the uni, but its in Millbrook. I will have a sort through the wardrobes as I have lots of clothing from all the family.

I think this type of charity is the most practical and effective.

I think most City Missions do have a clothes bank, but this is the first time I've seen this approach. I hope it catches on.

what's the nearest one to Slough?.I've got plenty coats for kids and adults to give away in really good condition ...
