    X box kinects

If we purchase the xbox kinects with the lower memory (4gb) will it be big enough to play all games etc. The larger memory is a massive increase in price but is it worth the extra cost? and if we go for the smaller memory can we upgrade the unit at a later date.
Thank you to anyone with enough gaming knowledge to help.

    Thank you for your help.

You will be able to download 2 game demos installing game add ons will be a problem though in the future.

I don't know if they fixed it but Halo Reach Multiplayer wasn't working on the 4GB due to insufficient memory. Well worth getting the 250gb

It's not memory, it's storage, it will be fine for the kinect but later on you will want a bigger hard drive for more storage. You can buy (upto) 16gb memory sticks to use in it or purchase a (upto 250gb) hard drive later on. You would save money if you could afford it all at once.

if u buy kinect dont run it off the xbox via usb use the power supply it comes with as the kinect draws and needs so much power it cooks the xbox i have to return new xbox less than 2 weeks out because it has been cooked and gets the new red dot of death

No problems here, got Kinect at launch and we´re running it through the Kinect port on the back of the 360 S.

Same here. The Slim is made with Kinect in mind and does no damage............older 360's have to run it with it's own power supply anyway.

google red dot of death for new 360's there is loads online caused but over heating as microsoft as over clocked the processors in the new 360 to make them faster with kinect needing loads of power it can cause red dot of death really easily

you got a link to Microsoft where they state what the CPU is now running at ?

Am I being dumb but what would be the point of the 360 s being over clocked to help it run kinect games when kinect games will have to run in old systems as well? I don't know much about the internalsnof the 360 so just wondered
