    X1950 Pro 512mb

Im looking for a X1950 Pro 512mb around the £80 region but if can be got chepear the better  It's a PCI-E version im looking for .

I thought of upgrading to this after noticing that the X1950 pro outdid the 2600XT and 8600GT in performance , and I won't be upgrading to Vista for at least a few years so this card would be perfect for me .

I've noticed they are around the £110 mark from places like Ebuyer , and are around £92 on ebay , but the ebay ones don't really state what make they are .

AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGR oh well. i used it a couple times, got £10 off 3 or 4 different orders, infact i am sitting with 400 blank dvdr surrounding me from one such deal.

i would have to ask the original poster, do you NEED 512mb video ram? because unless you are a graphics designer, 99% of all software does not recognise anything over 256mg ( well it didnt 6 months ago anyway).

    It's just for gaming basically . It's a 6800gt that I currently have and it's a 256mb.

i would read up on the gfx cards on places like overclockers to find out if you need 512mg video ram, it is normally the gfx chip which makes all the difference rather than the onboard video memory.

anything above 256 is normally used for grx and cad designers

please correct me if my info is out of date a i havent had to check for 8 months as that was when i needed to read up when i needed an upgrade.

thig move fast in the pc world:)
