XBOX 3 RLOD kit from B&Q?

Normally just buy these from Ebay but on this occasion I want the bits in my hands today.

Already got plenty of Arctic sliver so just need the bolts/washers. Would prefer the non-drilling method ideally. From llamma.com - We use 16 of the M5 x 1mm washers, 8 Nylon M5 x 1mm washers and 4 M5 Cheese head 12mm screws - this is for the case drilling method though....

Anyone happen to know what I need for a non-drill kit, and If B&Q etc will be able to provide?

Thanks

Really I should have bought 2 the last time and copied the parts, ho hum.

Fairly sure i know what I need though

M5 x 12mm bolts - this size wont require drilling (i think)
M5 nylon washers
M5 spring washers
M5 x 1mm metal washers

I know theres other methods/variants but this one always works for me

Some info here on the B&Q kit.

Personally, I've only used the kit from 'xbox expert' from ebay and his method of first overheating the GPU for 20 mins (leave for 30) - TEST - Then overheating the CPU for 6 mins (leave for 30) worked for me.

Ah so it would appear I need 10mm not 12mm. Think I'm sorted chaps. Now just need to hope that local DIY shop/B&Q has them in

any chance you can post these instructions?
I tried a different fix for the xbox and I'm curious about this one....

I had a look in B&Q before and couldn't find everything I needed. I went to the local hardware shop in the end, he only charged about 30p for all the bits.

Basically, remove clamps, cleanup and re-assemble heatsinks (finger tight bolts).

The instructions regarding overheating are as follows:

Place the motherboard back into the case and plug in the front board (with the on/off switch). If the motherboard doesn't seem to sit flush with the apertures at this time don not worry - when it's screwed in it will. Now attach the power for the fans, fan shroud, DVD player, plug the power and AV cable in and turn on.
If it works, great! Leave on for 6 mins to help spread the paste and flex the board back into shape. Then turn off, wait 30 mins, tighten the bolts, check it works, then reassemble - (don't forget the fan shroud)

Otherwise... (with the bolts still only hand-tight) take out the motherboard and prize the fans out. Put the motherboard back in the case (don't screw it in) and attach the fan power. Put the DVD player back in. Rest the fans on the CPU heatsink only (as picture ]here). Turn on and leave it until the Red Ring of Death runs to two lights to show it's overheating (or for 20mins max, whichever comes first). Unplug as soon as you see the 2 red lights (or after 20mins if you don't get 2 red lights) because the on/off button won't work. Leave for 30 minutes to cool. Your Xbox 360 should now work! Then on to check. If it works, then tighten up the bolts and reassemble.

If it's still not working after overheating the GPU graphics chip then it's probably the CPU that needs overheating so just switch off, unplug the fans, switch on and wait until the CPU overheats and you get 2 red lights, or for 6 mins max. Turn off and leave for 30 mins before turning on the console. Remember to tighten the bolts before reassembly.

They didn't have exactly what I needed at B&Q but got everything in the end.

All sorted now
