I've bought it for my niece for xmas, looks like an upgraded version of singstar, does the £40 include microphones though, becuase i've seen it in shops at that price without mics, but online at the same price including them.

I love it... it is much better than singstar and the mics are wireless.

Yeah, it is okay if your plannign on having any parties over xmas. It comes with 40 songs, some are okay, others not so much. I guess what will make this great is the ammount of downloadable content they introduce...i.e. new songs. There isn't much choice as of yet, but im hoping in time they will have a big catalogue of some party classics

Yeah, 2 wireless microphones included, which appear to light up if the advert is to be believed.

    Yep, they do

hi had this on release day for the mrs, must admit it is quite addictive, shes always beating me on it though. A good choice of songs and they release 4 or 5 new songs on the marketplace every Friday, they cost 160 points each though. Think it might be a winner over Christmas as all the family can have a good laugh at each other!!
The mics are good as there are wireless and they do light up

yeah you get extra points for being camp with them

Although its not my sort of game, the rest of the family love it and I even get some enjoyment out of it.

The technology seems sound. The microphones are very nice and well worth the out lay. The game is well thought out, clean and easy to use even for a beginner.

A must at parties but just as much fun with the family on a Saturday afternoon (please note the day is a suggestion and optional and not a must. I wouldn't want to start anything)

All in all good fun and worth the money.:santa:

If they have any in your local Woolies, I noticed it there for £36 odd, with the mics included... was very tempted, but I've got loads of Singstars that hardly ever get played, so am gonna hold off....

You'd have a full years guarantee with Microsoft, lol! ;-)

How does the scoreing system work on this game?
doest it reconizie your voice or somthing???

also do the mics take battries? .. if so which type?
one last thing, can you hear yourself singing thu the tv speakers?

    Tanchi,
It scores you based on how well you hit the notes to the song, you can see on screen if you are hiting the notes and for how long, for example on a long note you may not maintain it for the full length.
Each mic take 2 x AA batteries and they are supplied with the game. They are meant to last ages, longer than a standard controller 40 hours +, we've played on it loads and batteries are still going strong.
Yes you can hear you self singing through the TV speakers but you can vary the loudness by using the controller, for example if you are both singing together you can make mic 1 much louder than mic 2 so you can't hear them. This is what the mrs does to me as she says my terrible voice puts her off!
